The president of Kalmykia Republic in the Russian Federation, Kirsan Nikolayevich llyumzhinov, is on a two day visit to Dharamsala, the headquarters of the Central Tibetan Administration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Beijing has agreed to let Nepal's state carrier double its flights to China to 14 a week and begin service to Tibet, Nepal's aviation minister said Saturday. Nepal hopes the agreement will expand the number of tourists using it as a conduit to Tibet
