The Dalai Lama says he believes resolving the status of Tibet within China will help achieve genuine stability and unity for the whole country.

The Assembly of the Tibetan People's Deputies saw a walkout from the Kashag for the first time ever. The Kalon Tripa and his Kalons left the house after Deputy Sonam Topgyal made an allegation against the Kalon Tripa.

One day after the United States marked the second anniversary of the worst attack in its history, the Dalai Lama came to Boston yesterday bringing his message of peace in a world wracked by war and unrest.

"The early bird catches ... the Dalai Lama" might have been the motto of the hundreds of Harvard students who turned out as early as 1 a.m. Friday for tickets to the Tibetan leader's Sept. 15 appearance at the Memorial Church.
