Bangalore – Tibetans thank India with a festival

BANGALORE: The department of information and international relations, central Tibetan administration, Dharamsala, joined by the office of the chief representative and the five Tibetan settlements in Karnataka will celebrate `Thank You India Day’ from November 22 to 24 at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath.

The three-day event will have film screenings, documentary shows, panel discussions, lectures and cultural events. Monastic chanting and cham dance will also be part of the celebrations. Other events include lectures on administration, climate change and its impact on Tibetan plateau, Buddhism and Tibetan medicine.

The event will be inaugurated at the Parishath on November 22 at 11 am.
