The Dalai Lama said Tuesday he felt ``extremely sad'' when his plane landed in New York and he saw where the towers of the World Trade Center once stood, but he urged people to turn the tragedy into something positive.
A renovation project to repair a collapsed wall at the famed Potala Palace in Tibet finally started yesterday. Part of the front wall at the Potala Palace in Lhasa collapsed in August 2001 after rain water caused severe erosion at the site.

And since embarking on her trip two years ago, the native of the British isle of Jersey has added a mission to her journey - raising awareness of human rights abuses in Tibet.
