Lodi Gyaltsen Gyari, Special Envoy of the Dalai Lama

The International Campaign for Tibet (ICT) welcomes the announcement by the Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama that Special Envoy Lodi Gyari and Envoy Kelsang Gyaltsen, accompanied by two senior assistants, will depart today for China.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama will be visiting Germany from 28 May to 2 June, 2003. During the weeklong visit, His Holiness the Dalai Lama will address the participants of the first ever Ökumenischer Kirchentag (www.oekt.de/en) in Berlin on 30 May as invited by the organisers.

On September 13 and 14, 2003, His Holiness the Dalai Lama will come together with scientists, academics, and Buddhist scholar-practitioners for two extraordinary days of presentation and dialogue at MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
