Buddhist spiriual leader, the Dalai Lama, living in exile for more than four decades, on Wednesday expressed solidarity with victims of human rights violation on the World Human Rights Day.

The hill-town head quarters of the exile Tibetan government today swayed in joy amid a chorus of Indian and Tibetan traditional music as the celebrations to commemorate the 14th anniversary of the conferment of Nobel Peace Prize on His Holiness the Dalai Lama opened here.

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao was barracked by a sole pro-Tibet protestor as he delivered a speech at Harvard University at the end of an official, four-day US visit.

The 33 members of RTYC DHARWAD demonstrated to mark the International Human Rights Day. The day began with a speech from President of RTYC at around 10:30AM followed by demonstration in the main market of Dharwad. Later in the day RTYC members started blood signature campaign at Kala Bhawan. Blood campaign signature was a resolution made during the 34th TYC meeting at Shillong. A letter has been sent to 110 organisations including United Nations Gen. Sec. Kofi Anan, UN Human Rights commision Mary Robinson and IOC. The main demands of this blood signature campaign are: 1.TO RELEASE PANCHEN LAMA,THE WORLD YOUNGEST POLITICAL PRISONER. 2.TO RELAESE TRULKU TENZIN DELECK AND GESHE SONAM PHUNTSOK.. 3.TO WITHDRAWN THE 2008 OLYMPIC AT CHINA.
