DHARAMSHALA, July 6: The seat of the exile Tibetan set up gathered to celebrate the 88th birthday of the foremost Tibetan leader and spiritual figure, His Holiness the Great 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet, here on Thursday at the main court yard of the Tsuglakhang temple complex. The mood of the congregation was one of celebration and reverence for the octogenarian Tibetan icon.
While his followers and the international community bemoan the global icon’s growing age, the Dalai Lama himself reiterated that he has defied the limits of his age and said, “When I look in the mirror, the image I see is not of an old man but rather a man in his fifties brimming with vitality”. He further went on to joke that as a sign of his youthfulness, he has retained all the teeth that was bestowed to him by his parents.
“In my dreams, I felt that I will live at least until the age of over 110,” he revealed to the overjoyed masses who clapped and welcomed the promise of continuity.
The egalitarian leader then changed gears and reaffirmed to the Tibetans and his followers that his commitment to the cause of all those afflicted remain ever strong and that he will productively maintain his contribution for the benefit of all who exists. He further encouraged the Tibetans that he will continue to lead them in the coming years and that the situation and the geo-politics of the world will change for the better, giving way to a world with less of war and militarization.
In a pre-recorded message, the foremost Buddhist figure called on his followers to be compassionate and altruistic in their lives and that the ultimate aim of religion is to ignite and cultivate those values for a better world.
The list of those wishing the Tibetan leader on his birthday extended long. Dignitaries around the world poured in with their wishes; Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, “Spoke to His Holiness @Dalai Lama and conveyed heartfelt greetings to him on his 88th birthday. Wishing him a long and healthy life”.
The celebrations this morning was attended by the state Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, President Penpa Tsering and the leadership of the exile Tibetan government along with the masses that joined hands to erupt in joy every time the Dalai Lama reiterated and conveyed his promise for continuity and longevity.

Tashi Deleg Hardcore Nationalist la,
Every word you have written in paying tribute to His Holiness are marks of true patriotism and Tibet right now needs the likes of you. Wish only I could to know your name, but that doesn’t matter as you may have your own very good reasons for hiding behind your writing. What really matters is our true intentions for the cause of Tibet. Tibet needs intellectuals like you to place the true facts before the world.
In spite of having the most loved and compassionate leader of the world who from the very tender age took up the reigns to lead us, we are unfortunately divided as ever. The democracy which His Holiness gifted to the Tibetans is not allowed to function as envisaged by Him. When will our leaders in Assembly realize that by their factionalism, they are harming our actual cause. These leaders know very well that CCP leaders are always very happy by our infightings as they(the leaders) are doing the CCP’s job of causing fighting among ourselves. They, like the CCP do not seem to care that by their selfish and disruptive actions will hurt the feelings of His Holiness. By mouth, they pledged their allegiance to His Holiness but their action says otherwise. Nowadays I do not enjoy watching the proceedings of the Assembly for the reason that the behaviors of some of these leaders are very immature and disruptive in nature. Their only intention is to derail the proceedings and most of time unfortunately they are successful which in the end is a victory for the CCP and definite loss for our cause.
Once again do please continue your writing !
Wishing HH The Dalai Lama a Happy Birthday and many happy returns of this day! As the Tibetan belief goes, you are the manifestation of Avaleketesvara who emanated to liberate the Tibetan people, there is no doubt you have lived up to the reputation that has been passed from generation to generation since the inception of the Tibetan nation in 127 BC Since, May 23rd 1951, Tibet has been brutally occupied by communist China. In your own words on April 18th 1991 at the Rotunda of Capital Hill: “Nine years were not only without freedom, but also witnessed real terror and I was always surrounded by fear. Now after 32 years, although there is no longer that kind of terror and fear, I still remain a refugee. For the most part of my life, I never enjoyed freedom or liberty. And the worst thing is that thousands of my Tibetan brothers and sisters have not only lost these freedoms, but they have suffered tremendously, something really unthinkable. Besides this, there is also a lot of destruction. For the present Tibetan generation, we are passing through the most difficult and darkest period in our history. Sometimes, when I look at this negative side, I feel sad”. This speech was given when he was 56 years old. This sums up the colossal tragedy that has engulfed the proud Tibetan nation into a conflagration of phenomenal magnitude. Our nation has been stolen by the most evil and demonic communist Chinese regime and our people are going through a nightmare of never ending oppression and terror by a regime that is the epitome of death and destruction. The world and especially our neighbours turned their backs on us except humanitarian assistance. In this darkest moment of our history, you were the ONLY GLIMMER OF HOPE for the forsaken people of Tibet. Through your tireless effort, boundless charisma and humble entreaties, you won the good will of many eminent political and religious leaders around the world to rally behind you and the Tibetan people. It is ONLY THROUGH YOUR EFFORT that Tibet issue was firmly put on the international hot spot for decades! During the 1990s there were an estimated 34 countries around the world who flew the Tibetan National flag in their countries in support of Tibet! From the time when Tibet was plunged into foreign occupation and its aftermath of death and destruction,it was you who gallantly led the Tibetan Freedom Movement and made the Tibetans one of the most loved, admired and successful refugees in the world! The Tibetans owe infinite gratitude to you for leading the Tibetans through the darkest moment of Tibet’s more than two thousand years of history.
Owing to the rock-like stable leadership of the yours and the immense respect you command among the Tibetan people, the hope of the Tibetans inside occupied Tibet remains intact. Buddhism teaches us nothing lasts forever and Tibetans are assured that the communist regime in China is bound to collapse as we have seen with the collapse of the erstwhile Soviet Union in 1991. There is hope that you will outlive the CCP regime! Even though, the evil regime is armed to the teeth, it has a feet of clay. It is increasingly feeling insecure and the whole world is hostile towards it for incubating the Wuhan virus which has devastated the entire world. It is estimated 90 million Chinese are expected to leave China according to latest reports and this shows the Chinese people have lost their trust in the CCP regime! It is increasingly isolated from the rest of the world and its economy has been shattered by its so called zero covet lock downs. It never had any legitimacy because it came to power exactly like the Taliban in Afghanistan. The people of China have not given their consent to be ruled. It usurped power through the barrel of the gun! Therefore, those who live by the sword dies by the sword, the CCP is destined to die by a burst of gun fire in the end. If any prove is needed, just look at what happened recently in Putin’s Russia with Yevgeny Prigozhin who was Putin’s poodle tried to cut the hand which fed him! A group of disgruntled PLA leaders is likely to challenge the dictator since Xi has caused lot of commotion in the ranks of the PLA by taking down prominent generals. There are many scenarios that could ultimately dismantle the CCP which is a criminal mafia operating as a Party State. Criminals operate for self-preservation and not for national interest. So, when the murky gangsters and their loot are threatened all hell will break lose!!!
