His Holiness the Dalai Lama leaves for Delhi and Aurangabad

DHARAMSHALA, NOV. 19: His Holiness the Dalai Lama left his residence this morning for special engagements scheduled in Delhi and Aurangabad. The Tibetan leader will address the event on “Overcoming Anger and Anxiety” on 20th Nov as part of Tushita’s 40th anniversary and 22nd Dharma celebrations at the grounds of St. Columba’s School in New Delhi at the request of Tushita Mahayana Meditation Center, New Delhi.

His Holiness will deliver the 24th Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Memorial Lecture organized by the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS) at the Indian International Center (IIC), New Delhi. The memorial lecture is held annually to honour the first Vice President of India who was also an ardent philosopher. The lectures have witnessed addresses from renowned academicians, activists, scholars and leaders from all across the country.

The Tibetan leader will also address the Global Buddhist Congregation at the request of Lokuttara International Bhikku Training Center on 24th November at the Sports Stadium of P.E.S. College of Physical Education in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. The Global Buddhist Congregation is a mega conference with a cause of spreading the teachings of mindfulness, compassion and peace of Lord Buddha.

His Holiness will give a series of talks next month including one in Goa organized by Goa University, an international conference on Je Tsongkhapa: Life, Thought and Legacy, and the 600th anniversary of Je Tsongkhapa at Gaden Monastery in Mungod.
