Dharamshala – Taiwan Foreign Ministry honoured Mr Tsegyam, former representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Taiwan “The third rank Order of Brilliant Star with Grand Cordon” award on 12 May 2008.
Mr. Tsegyam was bestowed with this award for building good relations with Taiwanese government and its people during his tenure as a representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Taipei.
Some 20 officials from the Foreign Ministry, staff members of Office of Tibet and the president of Taiwan Tibetan community have attended the award function.
This award is given to the top Taiwanese officials and foreign personalities for their outstanding services.
