If I put myself in Woeser's shoes, her frustration and straight forwardness is completely understandable. She rightly raised an issue or rather a question as to why Tapey's name was not mentioned. I believe (if I'm not mistaken) that the Kalon Tripa explained the reason. And that I think should suffice.

In the last few years we've seen so much discussion, articles, opinions etc online. It is without a doubt that Tibetans and supporters have adopted and used the 'Net to its potential. It is certainly commendable and encouraging that they allocate time and resource to research and write them. I think pretty much all of them are written by folks who have a full time job. I've gained not just knowledge but an understanding and encouragement about the mass participation and interest. Certainly this gives strength to our struggle. With the popularity and reach of this news portal, I'm sure folks discuss what they read here. Can someone write about the impact on our struggle from the change of guards in the Chinese Communist Party that will take place this year? Perhaps in light of the recent resignation by the Envoys, an article about the negotiations (talks) and the qualifications to be one - this would certainly stir a good round of debate. In a way I feel the chief negotiator (the Envoy) has an enormous role and responsibilty.

Lobsang Sangay's democracy in his SJD thesis when he was student and his democracy when he's Kalon Tripa of TGIE reminds me of pre and post power of leaders like Mugabe, Hugo Chavez, Gaddafi, Putin etc. They were all full of equality, justice, rule of law, democracy blah blah before they came to power. But once they were they were, all those good things flew off the window and everything became about ME, MY WAY or NO ONE'S WAY.

And then we have Gyari Lodi, a small Hugo Chavez in his own way, who was so pissed that he might have to lose his coveted, cushy job as "envoy" in Washington DC when Lobsang Sangay said he would form a new team of 'negotiators', Gyari immediately shot back at LS stating that he reports to His Holiness, not the elected Kalon Tripa! And Gyari and LS proudly says whenever they re behind microphone: our TGIE is democracy!!!!

People, let me tell you all: we have bunch of Gaddafi's in our backyards and they dont hesitate to flex their muscles even when we are living in someone else's land as refugees! Think what will happen if have Rangzen!!! Almighty the three Jewels, please save us!!!!

Hmm. I can't wait for our own Tibetan version of the "50 Cent Army" to start attacking this article for daring to criticize our Kalon Tripa. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/50_Cent_Party)

Will this article be attacked as "right wing" or "elitist" or "biased"?? Stay tuned... ;-)
