Tibetans rock the largest Mangalore festival

Mangalore – Amidst 15,000 cheerful audiences at Panambur beach Mangalore, the Tibetan opera group from Bylakuppe rocked the beach. The Karavali Beach Festival, one of the biggest festivals in Mangalore has been organize under the district commissioner of Dakshina Kanada. Roughly 1, 00,000 people were gathered from all corner of Dakshina Kanada district for the three day beach festival. Many celebrated singers like Udit Narayan, local band performed and at the same time the international kite festival was also held.

With invitation from Additional Magistrate of Managalore district Mr. A J Bhat, Tibetans were able to perform some cultural items like Nyonpa, Yak dance and solo Tibetan guiter dance for the duration of one hour on the second day of festival.

Taking this golden opportunity Regional Tibetan youth congress, Mangalore were able to create awareness about the present plight of Tibetan and at the same time we expressed our deep sense of gratitude to the people India and requested to grant the same support till we success. The audiences were coming in groups just to appreciate the unique culture of Tibetans. In the nutshell the hallmark of the second day of festival was Tibetan cultural show.
