DHARAMSHALA, Sept. 6: In what is seen as furthering the Chinese government’s claim on authority over reincarnation of Tibetan religious figures, the Chinese government convened a meeting in Lanzhou about policies and regulations for the “reincarnation of living Buddhas in Tibetan Buddhism” on Tuesday, according to Tibet.cn, a Chinese mouth piece.
The gathering, attended by about 50 participants, included high-ranking Tibetan lamas and Chinese experts, including monks from the official Buddhist Association of China. According to the report, the Chinese authorities reiterated that the recognition of reincarnations must adhere to the regulations imposed by the government, stressing that the selection of Tibetan Buddhist Lamas should involve the golden urn method—a controversial system that requires Chinese government oversight and approval, which is much touted in the Chinese government narrative.
Observers and Tibetan exile authorities have condemned Beijing over its claim and raised doubts that the sinister aim of the move is to seek legitimacy over their authority over the next Dalai Lama, the central figure in Tibetan Buddhism. While the Chinese government has repeatedly pushed the idea that future reincarnations, especially that of the Dalai Lama, must be done under the Beijing’s jurisdiction, the Dalai Lama himself, the Tibetan people and many governments have rubbished the claim.
The Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, who has been living in exile since China annexed Tibet in 1959, has long denounced China’s attempts to control the reincarnation process. In a 2011 statement, the Dalai Lama declared that “responsibility for doing so (His Holiness’s reincarnation) will primarily rest on the concerned officers of the Dalai Lama’s Gaden Phodrang Trust” He vowed to leave clear written instructions regarding the selection of his reincarnation and emphasized that any successor chosen by China for political purposes should not be recognized stating, “I shall leave clear written instructions about this. Bear in mind that, apart from the reincarnation recognized through such legitimate methods, no recognition or acceptance should be given to a candidate chosen for political ends by anyone, including those in the People’s Republic of China”.
A day before the meeting in Lanzhou, on Tuesday the Chinese-appointed Panchen Lama, known widely as the “fake Panchen” was re-elected as president of the so-called Tibet branch of the Buddhist Association of China (BAC). Gyaincain Norbu was appointed as Panchen Lama by the Chinese government in 1995, six months after the abduction of the 11th Panchen Lama, Gedhun Choekyi Nyima who was recognised by the Dalai Lama.
The BAC, established in 1953, is a state-controlled body tasked with overseeing religious affairs, ensuring that Buddhist communities comply with state policies.

The evil Chinese communist Party is scrambling to get its evil hand on the reincarnation of the future Dalai Lama despite its propaganda branding the Dalai Lama as a “serf owner”, “theocratic” and “feudal”etc. Now, they have turned their virulent propaganda on its head and is struggling to get its blood stained hand into the business of the reincarnation of the Dalai Lama!!! It has clearly demonstrated in front of the world that what it peddled about independent Tibet under the gracious rule of the present Dalai Lama was anything but feudal and theocratic but a golden rule of immense peace, tranquility and happiness for the Tibetan people. All the peace, tranquility, freedom and happiness of the Tibetan people was destroyed by the most vile Chinese communist invaders! Since the Chinese invasion of Tibet in 1949/50 to this day, Tibet has been plunged into a hell-hole of unimaginable suffering accompanied by death, destruction and butchery! One hundred and sixty fellow Tibetans have torched their bodies to highlight the monstrosity of Chinese occupation of Tibet! More than million, two hundred thousand Tibetans have been murdered as a direct result of Chinese occupation and invasion. 6000 monasteries: the learning centres of Tibets priceless culture and repository of Tibet’s Buddhist heritage have been dismantled. These are the acts of vandalism and murder that has been committed by the murderous Chinese communist regime!
Today, it is bereft of any idea as to how to rule Tibet other than continue the military occupation. So, they thought, they should get a hand on the Dalai Lama’s reincarnation in the hope of using him as their compliant lackey to do their bidding to continue the illegal occupation. THEY ARE VERY MISTAKEN! First, the Dalai Lama has said it categorically umpteen times that he will not be born in territories occupied communist China! This is logical because the Dalai Lamas return to this world to preserve and propagate the holy Dharma to his devout followers. Dharma is the life-blood of the Tibetan people and the Lord Buddha personally assigned the Dalai Lammas to fulfil the spiritual needs of the Tibetan people. TIBET IS ESPECIALLY ASSIGNED TO THE PEOPLE OF TIBET BY THE BUDDHA SAKYAMUNI! TIBET THEREFORE BELONGS ONLY TO THE TIBETAN PEOPLE BY DECREE OF THE LORD BUDDHA!
The Dalai Lama’s reincarnation is the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dalai Lama’s institution known as Ganden Phodrang since the 5th Dalai Lama Ngawang Losang Gyatso (1617-1682) who reunited whole of Tibet after the Tibetan empire disintegrated in the 9th century. The Tulku or reincarnation recognition is purely a religious affair. As it were it is conducted by the high Lamas of Tibet who have achieved divinity. It is the realm of divine beings and NOT for ordinary beings especially infidels like Chinese communists! The holy Lamas conduct the search with a myriad of ways through dreams, through signs, and beseeching the holy deities to show them the right person who is the genuine reincarnation of the previous Dalai Lama. In the case of the present Dalai Lama, Kewtsang Rinpoche who was the prominent Lama of the search party first sat in retreat for one whole month and then went to see the signs at the holy lake of Lhamo Latso. He saw a turquoise tiled building with gutters and the letters ཨ (A) ཀ (K) མ (M). These letters denoted that the 14th Dalai Lama will be born in the region of ཨ་མདོ་ Amdo by depicting the initial ཨ A for Amdo. The ཀ K signalled the location of the house by demonstrating it is near the monastery of Karma Rolpai Dorje. The said monastery was on the hillside of the village where the turquoise tiled building was situated. Thus, when the search delegation found the house which appeared on the holy lake, Kewtsang remained in the kitchen to see the child while the servants acted as the leader and went into the sitting room. While in the kitchen and in the absence of his mother, he asked the child, “Who am I”? The child replied, “Sera Aga” – Sera Lama! He was right! Kewtsang was a Lama from Sera Monastery in Lhasa. He showed the rosary of the 13th Dalai Lama and asked him whose is it? The child replied, “it’s mine”! The rosary belonged to the previous Dalai Lama! That’s how the present Dalai Lama was found!
In future, as per the instruction of HH The 14th Dalai Lama, the Ganden Phodrang will conduct the search for the 15th Dalai Lama just as it did for the 14th Dalai Lama. The present Dalai Lama has already announced in 2019, ONLY THE GANDEN PHODRANG INSTITUTION HAS THE SOLE RIGHT TO SEARCH FOR HIS REINCARNATION AND ONLY THE CHILD WHO IS RECOGNISED BY THE GANDHEN PHODANG WILL BE THE UNMISTAKABLE REINCARNATION OF THE 14th DALAI LAMA AND NOBODY ELSE! The infidel Chinese communists think that if they appoint somebody and give it a name, it becomes a Dalai Lama!!! Just shows their utter ignorance. Just as if you call a dog by the name of lion, it will not become lion, in the same way, just by giving a name of Dalai Lama, it will not become one. There is karma behind it! The knowledge, wisdom, compassion that the previous Dalai Lama had will be inherited by the genuine Dalai Lama’s reincarnation and not by anyone else. That is why, the reincarnation of the Dalai Lama is not merely naming a child with the title but it must inherit the greatness that the previous Dalai Lama that will in turn determine the success of the future Dalai Lama. Nobody can change the karma of each individual. Only the individual who has created the karma to be the Dalai Lama can inherit it and no one else! No amount of grandiose publicity, no amount of propaganda and no amount of political manipulation can make a Dalai Lama!
Just to add one point to my earlier writing, Mao and his Gang of Four are responsible for 80 to 90 million deaths during the Cultural Revolution in China proper and other so-called minority areas, according to China experts. Let alone reincarnating, they must be suffering in the hell of fire. The experts say, Mao beats Stalin and other ruthless dictators in terms of killing his own people.
How can the Chinese Communist Party which is an atheist qualify to select the future reincarnation of any Tibetan Lamas, including the reincarnation of the next Dalai Lama? Only His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and Tibetans can make that decision. CCP should stay out of it because it has no business in the selection of Tibetan Lamas.
A few years ago, His Holiness the Dalai Lama said that if the CCP is so interested in finding reincarnations, why not it should look for reincarnations of Mao Tsetung and Deng Xiaoping? They have been dead for a long time.
